The Sundance Film Festival began today in Park City Utah with Kristin Stewart and Dakota Fanning’s biopic “The Runaways” stealing the show despite Stewart’s laconic acting style. Also noteworthy was James Franco’s performance in the the film “Howl.” We’re not sure if all those fans were screaming about his acting chops or adorable style.

- On this day in 1996, world chess champion Gary Kasparov lost a game of chess to Deep Blue, an IBM computer. On this day in 2010, we’re guessing most people play chess exclusively on computers. Checkmate. 2.10.10
